The Catchment Partners Forum acknowledges Aboriginal Traditional Owners within the region, their rich culture and spiritual connection to Country. We also recognise and acknowledge the contribution and interest of Aboriginal people and organisations in land and natural resource management. 

The North Central region includes the traditional land of the Barapa Barapa, Dja Dja Wurrung Aboriginal Clans Corporation, Taungurung, Wadi Wadi, Wamba Wamba, Wotjobaluk represented by the Barengi Gadjin Land Council and Yorta Yorta.
